Jay J. Morris Joins Spectrotel as Director of Business Development

NEPTUNE, NJ (August 9, 2013)Spectrotel, Inc., a New Jersey-based Competitive Local Exchange Company (CLEC) serving customers throughout the United States, is pleased to announce the addition of Jay Morris the Company’s new Director of Business Development. He is a 28-year veteran of the telecommunications industry and a subject matter expert in local voice services (POTS) for multi-location enterprise accounts.

In 1985, Mr. Morris began selling local dial-tone to customers in New York through Liberty Cable and Telephone followed by becoming a co-founder of CampusLink Communications in 1993. Morris has since held various senior roles with CLECs helping to build and design best practices for servicing multi-location businesses and the channel partners who manage the accounts.

Mr. Morris will be responsible for driving the sales and marketing efforts of Spectrotel’s entire CLEC product portfolio targeted at national accounts, the Company’s fastest growing market segment. He will also assist in forging strategic alliances with carrier partners that add value to delivering first-in-class service to Spectrotel’s existing and future national account customers.

Spectrotel Introduces New Suite of SIP Services

Flexible SIP services offered as analog, native or SIP PRI to enable any-size business with feature rich solutions

NEPTUNE, NJ (May 28, 2013) – Spectrotel, Inc., a New Jersey-based Competitive Local Exchange Company (CLEC) serving customers throughout the United States, announces the launch of its suite of enhanced business-grade Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solutions – SIP Services. Spectrotel’s SIP Services provide calling transport features that ride seamlessly across most internet access modalities including Spectrotel’s suite of managed Internet services and Bring Your Own Bandwidth options (BYOB) such as cable, DSL, private line, Ethernet, and wireless.

Spectrotel’s SIP services are also designed purposely to serve any size enterprise without minimum orders or bundling requirements. “We diligently identified the universal key issues with SIP products in the marketplace and developed a solution that offers a fully integrated suite of services and features that can economically meet the needs of any size company,” said Ross Artale, Chief Operating Officer at Spectrotel. “Our customers can now achieve greater availability across a near limitless geographic region, flexibility to add, move, change and enhance users experience while saving money by utilizing our SIP solutions.”

Spectrotel’s SIP services are available in three options — SIP Lines (Analog), for customers with internet access and analog phones via a Spectrotel Analog Telephone Adaptor (ATA) or Integrated Access Device (IAD); Native SIP trunks for larger customers with SIP phones or an IP PBX; and SIP PRI for customers with internet access and enough inbound or outbound voice traffic to require a full PRI (with D Channel). Spectrotel’s SIP services can support any signaling conversion necessary with the use of customer premise equipment and can be bundled with the Company’s dedicated broadband access products. All services offer the option of two calling plans: Local Unlimited and Nationwide Unlimited as well as full feature capabilities such as voicemail, call waiting, 3-way conference calling, caller ID, voicemail to text or email, and more.

Ethernet Over Fiber A Forerunner In Spectrotel’s Growing Services

Spectrotel’s Ethernet Over Fiber product is one of the fastest growing Internet access technologies. According to a research report by Point Topic, hybrid-fiber increased by 27.5% in 2012 while true fiber optic grew by 20.3%. The surge in these new FTTx services are partially due to operators maximizing the lifetime of their existing assets.

Spectrotel Supports The Arbor Day Foundation

As a corporate supporter of the Arbor Day Foundation, Spectrotel’s paperless billing efforts in 2012 supported the planting of 127 trees in Wisconsin’s Bayfield County Forest (planted in spring 2012) and will also support the planting of 125 trees in Florida’s Four Creeks State Forest this spring.
